Uniform 2024-2025
The school uniform can:
- instil pride
- support positive behaviour and discipline
- encourage identity with, and support for, school ethos
- ensure students of all races and backgrounds feel welcome
- protect children from social pressures to dress in a particular way
- nurture cohesion and promote good relations between different groups of students
We appreciate that young people want to express themselves as they begin to develop their sense of identity, yet we do appreciate and expect parental support in implementing this policy.
Deviation from any part of these rules (e.g. on medical/SEND grounds) is only permissible with the written consent of the Headteacher or a Senior Assistant Headteacher. The school retains the right to make a final decision on the interpretation of the issues of dress.

A final decision on what is acceptable rests with the Headteacher.

PE LESSONS
Students can wear their own clothes but they must be appropriate for physical activity.
If we feel that a student is inappropriately dressed, we will require the student to return home and change their clothes before returning to school. Students should not underestimate the part that appearance plays in both their personal and professional development and they will be demonstrating their commitment to the school by following this dress code.
The ultimate decision of what is or is not acceptable with regards to uniform lies with the Headteacher and they delegate this authority to members of the Senior Leadership Team in the School.
