The British Army Careers visit

We were delighted to welcome The British Army to the school on Monday 30 October.  They delivered a 2 hour fully interactive Roadshow event for selected Year 10 – 13 students. 

The event was delivered by a team of serving personnel from The British Army High Readiness Brigade and arranged by Headquarters South East in Aldershot. Students received a short opening briefing about The British Army followed by a chance to try out some physical battlefield challenges, then some team and challenge activities to both enhance confidence and develop skills and team work.

Students had the opportunity to speak with members of the delivery team which included, among others, engineers, medics and artillerymen. They discussed the routes into training that The Army can offer and got an insight into life in the forces.

All the students had a great time meeting The Army personnel. The confidence and mental and physical resilience skills they gained from the day will undoubtedly benefit them in the future.
