Giving Back

At St Simon Stock Catholic School, we live by our motto, Labora cum Amore – Work with Love. This guiding principle shapes our commitment to giving back, as we encourage our students, staff, and community to approach charitable work with compassion and dedication. Through a variety of fundraising activities and events, we strive to make a positive difference in the lives of others, always working with love at the heart of everything we do.

Our Sixth Form students participate in meaningful initiatives like the Porchlight Sleepout, raising awareness and funds for homelessness. During Advent and Easter, we organise food collections to support local families in need, reflecting the spirit of giving during these important seasons. Events such as Multicultural Week, Non-Uniform Days, and our End of Year Fair bring our school community together while contributing to worthy causes.

While we support numerous charities, our school proudly focuses on two main organisations: Heart of Kent Hospice (HOKH) and CAFOD. We have been a dedicated supporter of Heart of Kent Hospice for over 30 years, helping to ensure compassionate care for those facing life-limiting illnesses. Through our ongoing efforts with CAFOD, we stand in solidarity with global communities in need, promoting justice and human dignity.

Giving back is at the heart of our school’s ethos, and we are grateful to all who participate in and support these important initiatives. Together, we make a meaningful impact, both locally and globally.

Term 1 Fundraising - NSPCC

This term, our chosen charity is the NSPCC, a vital organisation dedicated to protecting children and preventing abuse across the UK. By supporting their work, we are standing alongside a cause that champions the safety, wellbeing, and future of young people everywhere.

During Term 1, we will be running a series of events and activities to raise funds for this important children’s charity. Further details will be shared soon, and we look forward to seeing our school community come together in generosity and compassion to make a real difference.

See how our students are making a difference in the community!
