Friday 9 January 2026 Class of 2025 Year 13 Presentation Evening Last evening, Thursday 8 January, we were delighted to host the Class of 2025 Year 13 Presentation Evening at school, welcoming back our September 2025 leavers for an evening of celebration, reflection and shared memories. The event was a joyful and relaxed occasion, bringing together students and their A Level teachers to mark the end of an important chapter in their education.
Thursday 18 December 2025 A Night of Joy and Christmas Wonder On Wednesday 17 December, our school community gathered for a truly magical and joy-filled Carol Service, hosted this year at the beautiful St Francis Catholic Church in Maidstone. With the church filled to capacity and around 210 guests in attendance, the evening was alive with warmth, light and the unmistakable spirit of Christmas.
Monday 15 December 2025 Celebrating Talent: John Downton Awards The John Downton Awards is Kent's annual art competition for students aged 11-18, celebrating creativity across painting, drawing, mixed media, and photography. With prizes tailored to each age group and medium, the awards showcase the very best young artists in the county. Shortlisted works are displayed in a public exhibition, with winners revealed at a special awards ceremony.
Friday 12 December 2025 Spreading Festive Cheer on Christmas Jumper Day On Thursday 11 December, the whole school came together for a wonderfully festive Christmas Jumper Day, raising £709.34 for two incredible causes: the Heart of Kent Hospice and the Catholic Children's Society – Crisis Fund, supporting vital work in our local community.
Friday 28 November 2025 The British Army Careers Workshop 2025 On Tuesday 25 November, 50 students from Years 10-13 took part in an engaging British Army Careers Workshop, designed for students who have shown an interest in the wide range of careers the Army has to offer.
Monday 24 November 2025 RAG Week: Fun with a Purpose From 17-21 November, our Sixth Form was buzzing with colour, creativity and community spirit as students took part in an energetic and inspiring RAG (Raise and Give) Week, raising £697.65 for the NSPCC.

Thursday 10 July 2025 Year 8 and 9 Apprenticeship Awareness Talk Earlier this July, our Year 8 and 9 students took part in an inspiring Apprenticeship Awareness Talk delivered by Lizzie from Careers Enterprise. The session explored what apprenticeships are, who they are for, and just how broad the opportunities can be — with over 700+ different industries, roles and apprenticeships currently available.
Thursday 10 July 2025 Year 12 Apprenticeship Talks In June, our Year 12 students had the opportunity to explore the growing world of apprenticeships and discover the resources available to help them find and apply for these opportunities.
Tuesday 8 July 2025 Year 12 Cultural Trip to Bruges At the end of June, 78 Year 12 students and 9 staff set off on an early morning adventure for our much-anticipated cultural day trip to Bruges. Travelling by coach and ferry via Dover and Calais on the outward journey, and returning later through Dunkirk, the journey itself became part of the experience. Out on deck, students enjoyed the fresh sea air, sunshine and views, while passing the time with card games and conversation.
