GCSE Results 2025
Congratulations to our Year 11 Students on their GCSE Results
St Simon Stock Catholic School’s exam results are consistently strong and we would like to congratulate our Year 11 cohort of 2024-2025 on another set of excellent results.
The strong collaboration between our students, their families and their teachers is evident in this set of results and there was a wonderful atmosphere at St Simon Stock Catholic School today, with everyone celebrating alongside one another. The enrolment into our successful Sixth Form is underway and we are anticipating another year of high number of students joining us to continue their studies.
Of particular note:
- Three quarters of our students achieved a standard pass of grade 4 or above in English and Maths.
- 84% of our student achieved a standard pass of grade 4 or above in English.
- 80% of our students achieved a standard pass of grade 4 or above in Maths.
- Over two thirds of all grades awarded to this cohort were grades 9-4
- An increase in the number of students gaining grades 7 and above
- There were many notable areas of success across the breadth of the curriculum areas, including English, Maths, Science, RE, Sport and many more.
Headteacher Mrs Denny said ‘I would like to congratulate all Stocky students on their fantastic GCSE results this year. I am full of admiration for the way in which they have approached their studies and for the strength of character, determination and resilience they have shown. Their efforts have ensured that they are able to lay strong foundations for their next steps, which they are all excited about.’
Mrs Denny continued: “We are also full of admiration for a number of students who have joined the school late for a variety of different reasons and for students who have overcome barriers to learning and have performed exceptionally well. Like our Year 13 students last week, there is a story behind each and every set of student results and we are proud of each and every one of our Year 11 students. It shows what can be achieved with high and consistent expectations and an inclusive and pastorally and academically strong environment.’’
Some of our individual success stories include 8 outstanding students who achieved top grades across all of their subjects. They are Kamile, India, Daisy, Deborah, Thomas R, Fiona S and Daisy.
Mrs Denny concluded by adding “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff who have taught and supported our students so effectively, and also parents and carers who play a key role in supporting and encouraging students throughout their school lives.”
We wish all our Stocky students well in their next steps and, of course, look forward to seeing the vast majority in the coming academic year as they return to study in our Sixth Form following these excellent GCSE results. Congratulations Year 11!
