Celebrating Community Spirit: Carmel Day & Non-Uniform Day
We’re delighted to share the fantastic success of our joint Term 6 fundraising events: the Non-Uniform Day held on Friday 11 July and our much-loved Carmel Day, celebrated on Wednesday 16 July.
Carmel Day is a special tradition at St Simon Stock Catholic School where we honour Our Lady of Mount Carmel. This year, our dedicated Sixth Form prefects, with guidance and encouragement from Ms Worron, organised a brilliant array of activities and stalls. Highlights included a Tombola, “Guess How Many Sweets in the Jar”, nail painting, a selection of fun games, and a very popular tuck shop, all enjoyed enthusiastically by students across the school.
Together, these events raised an impressive £917.08, which will go to three charities close to our community’s heart:
- £277.00 for the NSPCC from our ParentPay donations
- £320.00 for Heart of Kent Hospice
- £320.08 for The Aylesford Priory
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported these events: our students for taking part so generously, our staff for helping bring the day to life, and especially the Sixth Form prefects whose energy, creativity, and commitment ensured Carmel Day was once again a highlight of our school year.
With every fundraising effort, we show what it truly means to Labora Cum Amore — to Work With Love. We look forward to even more ways to come together and make a difference next year.
