Celebrating GCSE Results 2026
Everyone at St Simon Stock Catholic School are delighted to celebrate another strong set of Year 11 examination results.
The strong collaboration between our students, their families and their teachers and support staff is evident in our results and there was a wonderful atmosphere at St Simon Stock Catholic School today, with everyone celebrating alongside one another. The enrolment into our successful Sixth Form is underway and we are anticipating another year where we see a very high number of students joining us to continue their studies.
Of particular note:
- Over 70% of our student achieved a standard pass of grade 4 or above in English.
- More than two-thirds of students achieved a standard pass of grade 4 or above in Maths
- There were many notable areas of success across the breadth of the curriculum areas, including English, Maths, Science, Modern Foreign Languages, Geography, RE, Sport and many more.
Mrs Denny, Headteacher expressed her pride in students: ‘I would like to congratulate all Stocky students on their GCSE results this year. I am full of admiration for the way in which they have approached their studies and for the strength of character, determination and resilience they have shown. Their efforts have ensured that they are able to lay strong foundations for their next steps, which they are all excited about.’
Mrs Denny continued: “We are also full of admiration for a number of students who have joined the school late for a variety of different reasons and for students who have overcome barriers to learning and have performed exceptionally well. Like our Year 13 students last week, there is a story behind each and every set of student results and we are proud of each and every one of our Year 11 students. It shows what can be achieved with high and consistent expectations and an inclusive, pastorally and academically strong environment, alongside strong support from our families.’’
Some of our individual success stories include seven outstanding students who achieved high grades across all of their subjects. They are Malwina Augustyn, Angela Bibin, Luca D’Souza, Anna Duran Espinoza, Masön Lane, Saksham Limbu and Stefania Nwite.
Mrs Denny also expressed her gratitude to staff and school families saying: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff who have taught and supported our students so effectively, and also parents and carers who play a key role in supporting and encouraging students throughout their school lives. I thank our families for all the support they give to the school.”
Alongside their examination results, our Year 11 students, like all our students, have skills and qualities that will ensure they will be a success in whatever path they choose and that they will make a positive contribution to the world around them.
We wish all our Stocky students well in their next steps and, of course, look forward to seeing the vast majority in the coming academic year as they return to study in our Sixth Form following their achievements. Congratulations Year 11!
