Stocky Student Shortlisted for Prestigious Art Award

We are incredibly proud to announce that our talented Year 13 student, Fallon, has been shortlisted for the RI Coronation Award at the Royal Institute of Painters. Out of countless entries nationwide, Fallon has made it into the final 40 — a truly remarkable achievement, particularly in a competition traditionally dominated by students from private, grammar, boarding, and specialist art schools.

The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours is a prestigious centre of excellence, dedicated to encouraging and celebrating artistic talent. Fallon's success in reaching this stage highlights not only their artistic ability but also their dedication, creativity, and passion for painting.

The winner and two runners-up will be announced on 7 February 2025, with the three prize-winning artworks being exhibited at the 213th Exhibition of the Royal Institute of Painters at the Mall Galleries in London, from March 26 to April 5, 2025. This is an extraordinary opportunity to have artwork displayed alongside some of the finest painters in the country.

We wish Fallon the very best of luck as we eagerly await the results. No matter the outcome, this recognition is a phenomenal accomplishment, and we are incredibly proud to have such a gifted artist within our school community.
