Sixth Form Open Evening 2025

Our Sixth Form Open Evening, held on Thursday 6 November, welcomed both internal and external students, along with their families, for an engaging insight into life in our Sixth Form community.

The evening began with a warm welcome and informative presentation from Mrs Bartlett, Head of Sixth Form, who outlined the many academic and enrichment opportunities available. She shared how our Sixth Form supports students not only to achieve strong academic outcomes, but also to grow in confidence, independence and character, preparing them for their next steps into university, apprenticeships or the world of work.

Following the presentation, prospective students visited subject classrooms to experience taster sessions across the wide range of courses on offer. Teaching staff delivered engaging and insightful presentations, giving students a real sense of the subjects, expectations and opportunities available. Several parents commented that the sessions were so interesting they wished they could return to Sixth Form themselves.

The evening concluded in our Costa Café student area, where guests enjoyed snacks, tasting nibbles and drinks in a relaxed setting. This provided an ideal opportunity to speak informally with staff, ask questions and gain a real feel for the supportive and welcoming Sixth Form environment.
