Year 7 Create a Tree of Unity and Hope in Their First Week
Our new Year 7 students have made a memorable start to their journey at St Simon Stock Catholic School by coming together to create a Tree of Unity and Hope. Working with the Art Department and Chaplaincy, each student contributed a unique leaf, in the colours of their House, to build this vibrant and meaningful display.
Every leaf carries a word or sentence reflecting each student’s hopes for their first year at secondary school – from making new friends, to achieving personal goals, to living out our school values of respect, responsibility and readiness. Together, the Tree of Hope symbolises not only their individual aspirations, but also the shared journey they are beginning as a year group.
This collaborative project has set the tone for their time ahead, reminding us all of the importance of community, creativity, and faith as we grow together at St Simon Stock.
The completed Tree of Unity and Hope is now proudly on display in the school hall for all students to view, serving as a colourful reminder of the importance of community, creativity, and faith as we grow together at St Simon Stock.
