Open Events 2025 for Entry in 2026

We warmly invite prospective students and their families to visit St Simon Stock Catholic School and experience our vibrant, welcoming community.

We offer a range of induction programmes designed to ensure a smooth and confident transition from Year 5 to secondary school. These include:

• Year 5 Taster Days - exclusively for pupils currently in Year 5, taking place in June/July each year
• Open Mornings and Open Evening - for pupils in Year 5 and Year 6 and their families, taking place in September & October each year
• Year 5 Parent Information Talk - an introduction to St Simon Stock and offering guidance and advice on our application process and transition process

Each of the above events offers an important opportunity to get to know our school, ask questions, and begin the journey with us.

Our Year 5 Taster Days, held in July, are a fantastic opportunity for pupils to experience a day in the life of a St Simon Stock student. They take part in a range of fun-filled lessons, meet our inspiring staff, and begin to familiarise themselves with the school environment. It’s a brilliant way for younger pupils to get a feel for everything we offer and start building confidence about the move to secondary school.

Our Open Mornings and Open Evening are design for families of pupils in Year 5 and Year 6.  These events are the perfect opportunity to explore our school, meet our dedicated staff and students, and discover what makes St Simon Stock unique.

Whether you are considering Year 7 entry in September 2026 or looking for a place in our Sixth Form, our Open Events offer valuable insights into life at St Simon Stock. You’ll have the chance to tour our facilities, hear from our Headteacher, and learn more about our academic excellence, Catholic ethos, and extracurricular opportunities.

Parking

Regrettably, due to the nature of the site, we are unable to offer on-site parking for any of our Open Events. There will be some parking on the road in front of the school that runs through the Oakwood campus but this is likely to be limited. We therefore ask visitors to plan ahead and arrive early.
