Open Events 2024

Open Events 2024 for Entry in 2025

Welcome

Join us for our Open Events at St Simon Stock Catholic School! This is a fantastic opportunity for prospective students and parents to explore our school, meet our dedicated staff, and learn more about the exciting programs we offer.

Open Mornings

Open Morning tours give you the opportunity to see the day-to-day running of the school with normal lessons in progress. You will be able to visit classrooms to observe teaching in action, and both staff and students will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

The Open Morning on Friday 18 October includes a student-led tour of the school followed by a talk from the Headteacher and Head of Year 7 at 10am. You are welcome to book tickets for a session that includes a tour followed by the Headteacher's talk, or opt for tickets with a student-led tour only.

Open Evening

The Open Evening includes three talks from the Headteacher and Head of Year 7 at 5.15pm, 6.00pm and 6.45pm, followed by a student-led tour of the school. You are welcome to book tickets for a session that includes the Headteacher's talk, followed by the tour, or opt for tickets with a student-led tour only.

Throughout the evening, there will be many activities in the subject areas for you to take part in, giving you a chance to experience our facilities and get a feel for our curriculum.

Reserve your free tickets today. We look forward to welcoming you and your child!

Parking

Regrettably, due to the nature of the site, we are unable to offer on-site parking for any of our Open Sessions. There will be some parking on the road in front of the school that runs through the Oakwood campus but this is likely to be limited. We therefore ask visitors to plan ahead and arrive early.

Attainment

We must ‘Go and do likewise’, to serve the needs of others.

We are ‘One Body in Christ’, inclusive and welcoming to all.

We are called to ‘be constant in prayer’ to discern God’s love. Students are invited to faith, participating in regular acts of workshop as forms, classes, year groups, and a school.

Students are expected to be hopeful, showing respect to themselves, their peers, teachers and the environment.

Students are expected to be charitable through acts of service in school and the wider community.

Students are expected to maintain a scholarly attitude in all lessons and work to the best of their ability and engage where they can in extra-curricular activities.
