Year 12-13 Dress Code

At St Simon Stock Catholic School, Sixth Form students are role models for the community and are expected to uphold high standards of dress. Formal business dress is the model for all, with the following guidelines:

Skirts should be of an appropriate length

Smart trousers no leggings.

No vest tops or tops with large logos or slogans

Make-Up:Hair:Footwear:PE:
  • Discreet make-up can be worn.
  • We also do not allow facial piercings or visible tattoos.
  • Hair styles should be appropriate for a professional, working environment.
  • Footwear should be sensible for a working environment.
  • Students can wear their own clothes but they must be appropriate for physical activity.

If we feel that a student is inappropriately dressed we will require the student to return home and change their clothes before returning to school. Students should not underestimate the part that appearance plays in both their personal and professional development and they will be demonstrating their commitment to the school by following this dress code. The ultimate decision of what is or is not acceptable with regards to uniform lies with the Principal and he delegates this authority to members of the Senior Leadership Team in the School and the Head of Sixth Form.
