Staff Testimonials

Here’s what some of our staff have to say about working at St Simon Stock

When I joined SSSCS in September 2014, I felt immediately welcomed by both staff and students. Since then I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching the attentive, keen and focused young people in our care. I cannot speak highly enough of the loving and caring nature of our school, a place where everyone can flourish.
Mr P Chittenden Assistant Principal – Quality of Education – Impact

I was a parent to twins who attended the school for seven years and I watched them thrive thanks to the wonderful support they had at the school. When they left, I felt I wanted to give something back and when the opportunity to work with the SEND team came up, I took the plunge.
My role as SENCo Support Officer is one I love. I have such a variety of tasks, no two days are the same, which is wonderful. The SEND team are so supportive of our students and it is wonderful when you see them grow in leaps and bounds. The school really does care for our young people and I enjoy being part of that family. I couldn’t recommend becoming part of the team more strongly, it was the best decision I ever made.
Mrs C Paine SENCo Support Officer

I am blessed to be part of a wonderful team of colleagues in the Science department where I work as a technician. From the moment I entered the school, I felt a sense of warmth, welcome and belonging. I have worked here for nearly twelve years and am part of a team of three technicians, supporting our fabulous colleagues; the Science teachers.
Our role is to prepare practical equipment and materials for all the student practical activities and teacher demonstrations for Science lessons. Practical activities really help the students to understand the theory that is being presented to them in their lessons. It is a privilege to assist with their learning in this way and an absolute joy to witness their growth in knowledge and confidence in Science.
