16-25 Student Railcard

Kent 16+ Travel Saver for Year 12 and 13 students
The KCC provide the 16+ Travel Saver to fulfil their responsibility to support students to continue in further education up to the age of 19.
The 16+ Travel Saver can save up to 50% on the cost of bus travel to and from school and college and is valid at any time of the day, 7 days a week from September until the end of August. There are no restrictions on the number of journeys you can make. (Please see the website for travel restriction information in Medway and on the Kent Borders).
Applications
From July, applications for 2022/23 Kent 16+ Travel Savers can be made online by clicking here.
Please remember to attach a passport size photograph if this is your first application.
To be sure of having your pass available at the start of the new academic year your application must be received by 31 July 2022.
Cost: 16+ Travel Saver Duration Cost Full Year Pass 01/09/2022 to 31/08/2023 £500
Full Year Pass – paid by instalments 01/09/2022 to 31/08/2023 £510.
For families whose household income is less than £20,817 p.a. there is the possibility of a subsidy that can be made from the school’s Sixth Form discretionary bursary funding, which can be applied for on a separate application form (please contact Sixth Form office). This will be means tested and assessed on an individual basis by the school. It will also depend on the number of applications and may affect any future applications made to the Sixth Form bursary funding.
Payment: The 16+ Travel Saver will be available for collection on the first day of term, provided either full payment has been made to the KCC or arrangements for payment by instalments has been made.
