CAFOD!
In the final week of term, each gate had a bucket of water which students were encouraged to donate into. They could leave coppers, pound coins and anything in between. We also had a water relay in which year groups competed to get as much water around all of their forms first. The year group with the most change was Year 10! We also created our very own St. Simon Stock ‘Water for Life’ CAFOD Campaign water bottles. They are sports bottles and most importantly reusable! This means we are not only raising money for a fantastic cause but doing encouraging sustainability too. All through the last week of term Staff were encouraged to put The Proclaimers to shame and note down their step count. The staff member who walks the furthest in a day (and donates!) received a three-course meal voucher! The lucky (and knackered!) winner was Mrs Akhetuamen. In total we recorded 723,366 steps over the course of the last week of term. Our aim was to raise £750 for a Community Water Supply and we smashed it! Well done and thank you everyone who got involved!
