Work with Love

IB Services

On Tuesday 29th October, Mrs Bartlett, with the help of Ross Wimble and Anna Broad, explained the IBCP course to prospective parents and students. A key element of the IBCP Core is Service Learning, this involves students finding an authentic need in the community and dedicating 50 hours over the next two years to meeting this need.

Our current year 12 students are having their first interviews to establish which ‘community need’ they plan to support and how they are going to achieve this. It is hoped that students will use the school’s already strong links with organisations, such as Heart of Kent Hospice to achieve their goals.

Attainment

We must ‘Go and do likewise’, to serve the needs of others.

We are ‘One Body in Christ’, inclusive and welcoming to all.

We are called to ‘be constant in prayer’ to discern God’s love. Students are invited to faith, participating in regular acts of workshop as forms, classes, year groups, and a school.

Students are expected to be hopeful, showing respect to themselves, their peers, teachers and the environment.

Students are expected to be charitable through acts of service in school and the wider community.

Students are expected to maintain a scholarly attitude in all lessons and work to the best of their ability and engage where they can in extra-curricular activities.
