Message From the Archbishop for Year 11 & Year 13 Leavers

Dear Headteachers,

I hope you and your school are well and settling in to the ‘new normal’.

In a recent meeting with the Chaplains a few weeks ago,  Archbishop John Wilson kindly agreed to send schools a video for the Year 11 & Year 13 leavers given the concern shown over their well-being and disruption to their learning due to the pandemic.  He also wanted to wish them well as they begin a new journey and offer a blessing for their futures.

I am happy to share with you a link below.  You may want to use it as part of the end of year celebration or at the end of a live streamed Mass.

Year Eleven – https://youtu.be/H51T64_ZZVk

Year Thirteen: https://youtu.be/U0C_QlxOFoE

The Archbishop would also value your feedback, so please email me with your thoughts and I will pass these on to him.

Also I have included a general video of the Archbishop speaking to the whole school family, that can be uploaded to your school website, or sent to parents, staff, governors and students.

With best wishes and remain safe in Christ’s care.

Susan

We are ‘One Body in Christ’, inclusive and welcoming to all.

We are called to ‘be constant in prayer’ to discern God’s love. Students are invited to faith, participating in regular acts of workshop as forms, classes, year groups, and a school.

Students are expected to be hopeful, showing respect to themselves, their peers, teachers and the environment.

Students are expected to be charitable through acts of service in school and the wider community.

Students are expected to maintain a scholarly attitude in all lessons and work to the best of their ability and engage where they can in extra-curricular activities.
