• Heart of Kent Hospice donation

  St Simon Stock would like to thank everyone who supported the amazing fundraising efforts that took place during Advent last year. A cheque for £500 was presented to Erica Snow and Keith Blair from the Heart of Kent Hospice. The Staff had a hearty breakfast on the 22^nd of March, which raised £130. The loose change challenge has raised so far £240 and the money we raise together will support the Heart of Kent hospice `s nurses to provide outstanding care to patients and their families. Thank you all again for your amazing support!                 

  

• The end of an era in our 6th Form

  This is Suraj – he is the very last student to pass through our doors who will have been born in the last millennium. He was born in December 1999 just as Prince was partying (a reference for all those born before the nineties!) He is studying Sociology, Geography and Business A levels and has applied for university to study aviation management. Suraj good luck in your exams and thanks for being the last student from the 1900’s.

  Quiz Night – the PTA would like to thank everyone who has supported the recent Quiz Night look out for details to follow early next term for the Quiz on Friday 10^th May.

  The success of the Quiz nights has enabled us to make donations to the following departments Geography £500, Art £500, Science £1000, Food Technology £100 and Music £500 this academic year.

  Quality Second hand Uniform

  During the last year the sale of second hand uniform has again raised a considerable amount of money for PTA funds which ultimately goes back into the school. Donations of second hand uniform can be left at the school reception. Anyone wishing to purchase items of uniform can do so by contacting Mrs Hall on 07507 511112 or  email lorrainehall1971@gmail.com or Mrs Abbott email abbottchez@aol.com or alternatively at Parents evenings when second hand uniform is always on sale.

  Donations of quality second-hand uniform from Year 11 students would be greatly appreciated – these can be left at the school reception.
