Lasallian Founders Day!
Mon 17 May 2021The 15th May every year is St John Baptist de la Salle’s Feast Day and as an associate Lasallian School we celebrate and remember the work that he did and the lives he changed. We also reflect on his Legacy and what we can do as individuals and a community to change the world.
To celebrate Founders Day this year all of the Lasallian schools in Ireland, GB and Malta joined a Service via Zoom called “A million Dreams” and had an opportunity to reflect on our personal vocation and purpose. There were over 2000 Lasallians, teachers and students on the call from all over our District. Some of our year 7 students participated and reflected on what they believe their purpose is. As part of the service the raffle winners from the Lasallian Awards 2021 were also announced. 1200 students took part in these awards by completing activities that were ties to the 5 Lasallian Core Values. These Awards were created by our own chaplain, Lauren Bassett earlier this year and then shared with all the schools across the District.
